Batteries & Chargers

How do I charge my batteries?

This varies based on the make and model of your equipment. Please see your owner’s manual for further instruction.

How often should my batteries be charged?

This depends on how often you use your equipment. If you are a daily user, you should charge your batteries nightly. Occasional users should charge after active use (ideally when battery life is at about 50%). Please see your owner’s manual for further instruction.

How long do my batteries need to charge?

You should charge your batteries for 8 -12 hours. Please see your owner’s manual for further instruction.

Can I use an extension cord when charging my equipment?

The power cord (or off-board charger) must be plugged directly into the wall. Do not plug the cord into an extension cord or into a surge protector, as this can reduce the batteries’ ability to keep a charge. Please see your owner’s manual for further instruction.

Can I use any charger to charge the batteries?

Use the charger that is designed to go with your equipment, never use a charger that is designed for automobiles or other equipment. Please see your owner’s manual for further instruction.

Remember to check the charge indicator lights on your joystick!

  • Green lights mean your batteries have a full charge.
  • Yellow lights mean your batteries are about half full and you should charge them soon.
  • Red lights mean your batteries have lost full power and you need to charge them for 8-12 hours.

What should I do if I have charged my equipment and the problems continue?

First check to make sure the power cord (or off-board charger) is not still connected. Also, make sure the brake levers are in drive mode. Please see your owner’s manual for further instruction.
